Three teenagers were found dead in a garage in Edgewood, according to the police department.
Police said in a news release there is no indication of foul play and it appears to have been carbon monoxide poisoning. A propane heater was in use, according to police.
None of the teens were identified on Sunday. Edgewood Police Department Chief Roger Jimenez said officers are still working to notify family members and loved ones.
“We are also working with our local school district to provide chaplains and counseling to fellow students and families,” he said in a news release.
It wasn’t clear Sunday when and where the teens died. Police couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
In the release, Jimenez stressed the importance of carbon monoxide detectors.
