Weather prompts Tuesday morning closures at some APS schools

All East Mountain schools have canceled school Tuesday because of inclement weather, according to Albuquerque Public Schools.

A. Montoya Elementary School, San Antonito Elementary School and Roosevelt Middle School have all canceled classes, the district said early Tuesday.

Manzano High School classes are canceled for students who live in the East Mountains, but students who live in Albuquerque are still required to attend.

The National Weather Service’s Albuquerque location said Tuesday morning that “sharply colder temperatures” are expected in the area Tuesday.
