Person fatally shot outside truck stop in Northwest Albuquerque

A person was shot and killed at a truck stop Wednesday afternoon in Northwest Albuquerque.

Gilbert Gallegos, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said police responded to a shooting at the Love’s truck stop near Sixth and Interstate 40.

“One individual was located deceased from an apparent gunshot wound,” he said. “Homicide detectives have been called out to investigate further.”
