National Puppy Day: Here are the good boys and girls of Albuquerque

In recognition of National Puppy Day — the cutest day of the year — on March 23, the Journal asked readers to send in pup photos. Here are the doggo portraits received.


Bailey Belle and Bruno Buttons

Timmy

Timmy, 3.5 years old, Chihuahua. Timmy was abandoned outside a dental office when he was less than 6 weeks old and a vet said he likely wouldn’t survive. But he was nursed back to health slowly but surely at home and was soon able to play. He now loves to hike in the foothills and to cuddle. (Cyndi Lysonski)

Vivian Hope, 4 months old, pitbull mix. Vivian Hope was among three puppies dumped at the Valencia Animal Shelter two days before Christmas. (Barbara Meyer)
