Restaurant selection growing at Winrock

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — There’s pizza, pasta, stir-fry and chile-drenched enchiladas and burritos.

Now Winrock is getting some seafood.

Houston-based Joe’s Crab Shack is the latest tenant announced as part of the redevelopment at Winrock Town Center.

Joe’s Crab Shack has signed a lease for space just south of BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, according to Pegasus Retail President Anthony Johnson, the broker for Winrock.

Joe’s should have a new 8,200-square-foot restaurant open for business by next summer, Johnson said.

A previously announced Dave & Buster’s — a restaurant/bar/arcade — should open a 24,500-square-foot location at Winrock about the same time.

Johnson said Joe’s helps round out the food lineup at Winrock, which added BJ’s and Genghis Grill last year to longtime tenants Garduño’s and Macaroni Grill.

“It’s just a great mix. I think it’s going to bring people multiple times each week to Winrock,” Johnson said.

Work is ongoing to cement additional tenants for Winrock, but Johnson can’t speak to those that haven’t yet executed leases.

He said he’s “still in the throes of wrapping up nine or 10 additional leases.”
