Deadlines are coming up in June for applications under the Rural Energy for America Program.
The Rural Development state director for New Mexico, Terry Brunner, said the deadline is June 15 for grants and loan guarantees to buy and install energy efficiency systems and renewable energy improvement projects.
He said the deadline is June 30 for applications for renewable energy feasibility study grants and energy audit and renewable energy development assistance grants.
Rural Development said funding includes grants and loan guarantees to buy and install flexible fuel pumps, E85 dispensers and biodiesel pumps and related equipment at retail locations in rural communities.
Those eligible to apply include farmers, ranchers and other agricultural producers in rural and non-rural areas, and owners of rural small businesses in communities of less than 50,000.
