Casinos offering lots of treats for Halloween

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A lot of ghoulish fun will be taking place Saturday and on Halloween night at several area casinos.

 

The Stage at Santa Ana Star Casino welcomes partygoers to “The Gates” Halloween Party with DJ Icey. The “heavenly sinful” Halloween party kicks off at 9 p.m. Saturday.

DJ Icey and DJ Kique will heat up the dance floor. DJ Icey is known for his broken beat, bass-heavy sound and has been credited for kick-starting the American progressive house and trance scene, according to a Santa Ana Star Casino news release. DJ Kique started his electronic dance music career in Albuquerque and now performs in Las Vegas, Nev.

“The Gates” event will feature signature cocktails, a candy bar featuring adult sweets and treats as well as a tarot card reader and more.

Costumes are required for this event. Partygoers can compete in a costume contest with a top prize of $1,000.

Envy Nightlife inside Route 66 presents Playboy’s Forbidden Fantasy Halloween Celebration that kicks off at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Playboy hosts Jessica Hinton and Iryna Ivanova will be on hand to meet and greet guests. DJ Kiss will keep things jumping.

 

Come dressed in your sexiest Halloween costumes. Top prize takes home $1,000, second place wins $500 and third place earns $100.

On Thursday, Halloween night, have some scary fun at The Downs Racetrack & Casino’s Halloween Boo Bash.

The event, which will be held in The First Turn Lounge, will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Thursday.

A costume contest will feature $1,250 in prize money with $250 going to each winner of the five categories: funniest, scariest, most creative, best couple costume as well as a surprise category. Also, on Thursday, have a devil of a time at “Devil’s Delight” at Sandia Resort & Casino.

Dress up, paint your face and get your scare on, the casino encourages. The top three costumes will share in $2,500. There will be “intense” decor, dancing, and drink specials all night long. The fun begins at 9 p.m. and lasts until 1 a.m.
