Grammy-nominated band Newsboys will headline Winter Jam West 2013 Tour in Rio Rancho.

Grammy-nominated band Newsboys will headline Winter Jam West 2013 Tour in Rio Rancho.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Winter Jam Tour Spectacular has brought the biggest names in Christian music together on one tour for the past three years.

This year is no different.

Winter Jam is coming to the City of Vision for a stop on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Santa Ana Star Center.

This year’s concert is headlined by Newsboys. It also features Tenth Avenue North, Thousand Foot Krutch, Plumb, Building 429 and evangelist Nick Hall.

“We are thrilled to head west with Winter Jam for the third year in a row,” says Eddie Carswell, Winter Jam creator and Christian band NewSong’s founding member. “The tour exists for the singular purpose of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. Newsboys have long been a favorite of Winter Jam audiences.”

Organizers say Winter Jam saw a record-setting 42 sellouts earlier this year, hitting 44 of the country’s largest arenas and was the biggest in its history.
