The New Mexico Philharmonic has announced a concert at the Rio Grande Zoo on Saturday, May 28. The program, said spokeswoman Carla Lehmeier-Tatum, will be light classics and an Americana tribute to the military.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will start at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the concert are $15 for the general public, $10 for those 12 and under and two-for-one tickets for active military with ID. Tickets are available at the zoo, 903 10th SW.
Lehmeier-Tatum said the philharmonic is renting the zoo with financial help from donations.
The philharmonic is made up of musicians of the defunct New Mexico Symphony Orchestra.
