A frost-laden tree east of Albuquerque provides a perch for a flock of birds — either crows or ravens, but you’d have to get up close to know for certain. Crows and two species of ravens dot New Mexico’s landscape, and they have several differences in features, such as the shapes of their tails, wings and bills.
