Man Tasered, arrested in Santa Fe

SANTA FE, N.M. — Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Deputies chased down, Tasered and arrested a suspect in an alleged domestic violence incident on Thursday night in Santa Fe.
William D. Cypress was booked into the Santa Fe County jail on charges battery against a household member, resisting or obstructing an officer and interference with communications, said a criminal complaint filed in Santa Fe Magistrate Court.
Deputies were called to Mosca Peak at about 10 p.m. where a woman told them “he’s running out the back door.” Deputies chased Cypress, 43, through a laundry room, into the garage and into an alley where he scuffled with deputies and was Tasered, said the complaint.
According to the complaint: the woman in the home said Cypress came home drunk and argued with her before banging his head against a wall and then grabbed a fork and started to stab his stomach. He then allegedly grabbed her cell phone when she tried to call for help and broke it.
