ABQ fires 3 temps for pocketing cash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The city of Albuquerque has fired three temporary workers at the Biological Park after cameras caught them pocketing cash from admission fees, according to the city.

John Soladay, the city’s chief operations officer, said it isn’t clear how much money was taken, but the video and other evidence have been turned over to police. The employees could face charges, he said.

“Anytime we find issues like this, we go after it aggressively,” Soladay said today in an interview.
