Man with handgun robs Santa Fe bank

SANTA FE, N.M. — The FBI and Santa Fe police are looking for a man who with a handgun who robbed First National Bank of Santa Fe around 10 a.m. Wednesday (4/9).

Described as Hispanic, in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall, and with a slender to medium build, the man entered the bank at 516 W. Cordova Road and ordered people to get down on the floor. He demanded money from tellers, who gave him an undisclosed amount, according to an FBI news release. A black bandanna with a white pattern covered much of his face.

The suspect wore a dark blue or black hoodie with a white logo and writing on the front that included the words “Santa Fe;” maroon sweat pants, white gloves, sunglasses and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at 505-889-1300 (24 hours) or Santa Fe Police Department at 505-955-5033. The FBI may pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
