ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Neighbors on Sunday identified the man shot and killed by Albuquerque police on Saturday evening as Armand Martin, a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Martin’s wife called police at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday to report a domestic dispute. The woman and her children met police at a nearby park and she said her husband was armed and in himself inside the couple’s home on Coyote Canyon NW.
The ensuing standoff ended when Martin came outside and fired handguns at about 6:30 p.m. He was shot and killed.
Police only identified the man as Armand.
The home had more than 10 broken windows on Sunday.
It was APD’s fourth fatal shooting since mid-March.
