Frames of geodesic domes were being constructed and draped with canvas Thursday as Creative Santa Fe, Lumenscapes and others got ready for the FANTASE Dome Fest, scheduled to run 6 p.m. to midnight in De Vargas Park on Friday.
The festival will feature a series of musical groups to provide the beat, while artists set up their multi-media installations using different-sized domes. Some works will be projected onto the outside of the domes, some will be viewed within looking up to the ceiling of the dome.
Creative Santa Fe’s first festival in De Vargas Park was last year and attracted some 1,500 to 2,000 people — and that was without the domes.
