Pedestrian injured in crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A pedestrian was taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle near the International District Saturday afternoon, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.

The man is now in stable condition at the hospital and expected to survive, according to an APD spokesman.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the spokesman said.

Southbound San Pedro was closed at Copper while officers investigated, but has been reopened according to a spokesman.
