Armed robber sought in Santa Fe

SANTA FE, N.M. — Deputies are seeking a lone armed robber who held up the Allsup’s convenience store on Agua Fria near Morning Drive in Santa Fe early this morning.

A deputy was on the scene within one minute of the activation of a panic alarm but an intensive search of the area failed to turn up any suspects, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said.

The alarm was sounded at 2:19 a.m. The suspect brandished a black handgun and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet 8-inches to 6-feet in height and in his 30s with a thin build.

He was dressed in all black with a black baseball cap and a black bandanna covering his face. Any one with information is asked to call 505-428-3720.
