This is a great risk-reward, 529-yard (blue tees, 509 from whites) par 5. A water hazard on the right side cuts across the fairway on your tee shot. An aggressive drive, either down the left side of the fairway – but right of the trees and mesa – or over the lake, leaves a long iron into the green for a second shot. From the blue tees, the carry over the lake is 285 yards and an ideal layup yardage is about 225-240 yards to stay short of the lake. A well placed layup from the tee will leave the player with about 270-280 into the green. Most players will want to hit their second shot up the fairway to leave themselves with a wedge approach to the green. The longer hitter can still attempt a fairway wood and try to knock it on the green from here. There are two green-side bunkers and a fairway bunker on the left side of the hole about 50 yards from the green that can snatch attempts to reach the green in 2.
