ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Another day. Another movie comes to New Mexico.
This time the project is bringing Elvis Presley’s granddaughter.
The New Mexico Film Office announced the film, “Bare,” which will begin filming in Albuquerque and Moriarty at the end of July.
The project will film through mid-August.
According to the film office, the production will employ at least 35 New Mexico crew members and 15 actors and background talent.
The film stars Imogen Poots, Chris Zylka, Rachel Korine and Riley Keough.
“Bare” is the story of a young girl living in Nevada who starts a complicated relationship with a female drifter who introduces her to a darker world and forces her to grow.
The film is produced by Chad Burris, who also produced another New Mexico-made film, “Drunktown’s Finest.”
Also producing is Aleandra Roxo.
The film is being written and directed by Natalia Leite.
Poots is returning to New Mexico. The actress filmed the horror film, “Fright Night” in 2011.
She’s also starred in “Jane Eyre,” “That Awkward Moment” and “Need for Speed” with Aaron Paul.
Keough – who is Presley’s granddaughter – has made a name for herself by starring in the films “The Runaways” and “Magic Mike.”
She also done the video “TKO” with Justin Timberlake.
Zylka has appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and most recently the HBO series, “The Leftovers.”
Korine has appeared int he film, “Spring Breakers,” with Selena Gomez and James Franco.
