SHADY LAKES: In preparation for all those wanting to fish before school starts again, Shady Lakes restocks 1,500 pounds of rainbow trout on Friday. The trout run an average of 12 inches. We will restock with our over-16-inch trophy trout for the Big Trout Pond if they are available. Call 898-2568 for updated information. There are some of the 11-inch trout from the Easy Catch Trout Pond that have swam up the pipes to the Big Trout Pond so this lake is now a mix of sizes. The best reports on the largemouth bass activity continues to be plastics (worms, crawdads, jigs, swim baits) rigged to not catch up in the pond grasses. Best bass (and Bluegill) success is near the water lilies. Earlier morning and mid-to-late afternoon and during rains brings the best results. Bluegill are actively biting on worms, salmon eggs, and flies. Jan Phillips, director
