State senator calls meeting to address Atrisco Heritage traffic issues

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sen. Michael Padilla has called a meeting to discuss traffic issues at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School.

The meeting will be held in the school library at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Padilla said the community should address traffic issues at the high school before a new K-8 school opens nearby next school year.

“The traffic issues at Atrsico Heritage Academy High School are already a massive problem, and the new school will further exacerbate the issue,” Padilla said in a news release.

Representatives from the State of New Mexico Transportation Department, Albuquerque Public Schools, Bernalillo County, and City of Albuquerque will be at the meeting, according to the release.
