VIDEO: Lobo Howl slam dunk contest highlights

The highlight of Friday night’s Lobo Howl event in the Pit was the slam dunk competition.

That’s not always the case. In fact, in recent years, the Lobos dunk contest has left plenty to be desired. That wasn’t the case on Friday as freshman Sam Logwood and senior Deshawn Delaney led the charge on a dunk competition that had the fans thoroughly entertained.

Logwood beat Delaney in the championship, 39-33.

Here are a few videos I took of the dunks (sorry if you don’t like the slo-mo. It’s a function I was trying out on my new iPhone 6).

Deshawn Delaney, with assist from Cullen Neal, (semifinals)

Deshawn Delaney, with the spotlight, (finals)

Sam Logwood, between legs (finals)

Sam Logwood, pass from Cullen Neal in stands (first round)

(unfortunately you can’t see the beginning of this one, but Cullen Neal was more than half way up the stairwell into the Pit stands when he had this assists on the Logwood dunk)
