ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A weekend closure on northbound Interstate 25 has traffic backed up as far south as Montgomery.
Northbound I-25 is closed at San Mateo, where all northbound traffic must exit and reenter at the next on-ramp, the state Department of Transportation has announced.The closure will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Monday.
The closure is part of the I-25/Paseo del Norte reconstruction project.
Drivers can expect overnight closures on northbound I-25 from San Mateo to Alameda each evening from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. tonight through Thursday.
Southbound I-25 will be closed from Alameda to Ellison from 7 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Both eastbound and westbound San Antonio will be closed overnight under I-25 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each evening through Friday, Oct. 24.
