Geoff Grammer’s AP Top 25 ballot for Nov. 24

Here you go, my AP hoops ballot for Nov. 24 with plenty of movement for a season that is just 10 days old.

As always, the balance between gut feeling abut how good a team is and simply basing the poll on results on the court is the biggest variable among the 65 AP voters. Some may drop a team like Florida all the way off their ballots this week for a loss and an overtime win, but I couldn’t convince myself that still isn’t a top 25 team. Same with Kansas, a team that got drilled by Kentucky. They’re still clearly a very good team, just haven’t shown it yet.

On the other hand, some teams on the back end of my ballot might be there based more on simply what they’ve done on the court as opposed to a firm belief they’re better than the 10 or so teams I considered but left off this week’s ballot. For example, in the league I cover, I’m not sure which team I think will have a better season between Wyoming or Colorado State, but I know which team has looked better in the first week based primarily on one extremely impressive performance (Wyoming drilled Colorado on Saturday and the Buffs were a team I had ranked No. 25 in last week’s ballot).

Nevertheless, here you go. The ballot for the week. As always, feel free to send the hate or the love via email ( or on Twitter @GeoffGrammer.
