So, most people don’t buy houses for Valentine’s Day. I might suggest it would be quite a memorable V-Day if you were to surprise your loved one with a house!
The heart does have a lot to do with home buying. Many people have a list of things they want in their next home and sometimes that list goes out the window when you walk in a house, and your heart says “It’s the ONE!” As a Realtor, it’s our job to help you understand the pros and cons of a house you fall in love with.
Sometimes when you walk in a home for sale and say… “This is it, it really is it.” Sometimes I have to remind you of your must-have items for your next home and help you see that it might have something about it that’s tugging at your heart strings, but that it might not be the best choice.
Other people’s furniture or yard art can really show a home in its best light. Looking at the house and not how it’s decorated can be difficult for some home buyers (vice versa a vacant home can be hard for others to visualize). Sometimes it’s a crockpot full of yummy smelling food that helps out a home. I’ve even had people fall in love with other people’s animals and seem to like an unlikely property for the sweet dog or horse they met there.
If you are thinking of buying a home soon, your heart can be involved in the decision-making process. Let’s just make sure that the home meets the major criteria for you.
