ABQjournal Twitter feed compromised

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — ABQjournal’s Twitter feed and Facebook page were compromised early today.

The Albuquerque Journal has since taken back control of its Facebook page and the ABQjournal Twitter account.

The Journal reached out to Facebook and Twitter to help resolve this issue. Law enforcement agencies have been contacted are investigating.

Meanwhile, a TV station in Maryland is experiencing the same type of attack.

WBOC is alerting viewers that the WBOC website and WBOC Twitter page were hacked late this morning by an individual or a group calling itself the CyberCaliphate.

Albuquerque Publishing Co. and Albuquerque Journal servers have not been compromised in these attacks. The group responsible is posting information and documents on Twitter from various sources across the country.
