Ali Freeman will be eating his dessert in jail.
Freeman, 41, was arrested Friday morning after he pulled his knife on a Waffle House waitress when she said the restaurant’s pies were frozen and not available, according to a criminal complaint.
He ordered breakfast at the restaurant on the 13000 block of Central, but police said he got angry at the end of his meal when he learned the pies were frozen. He is accused of threatening his waitress with the steak knife he was eating with, according to the complaint.
Freeman also struck the arresting officer when he was being taken into custody, according to police.
Freeman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery on a peace officer. He remained in jail Saturday night.
