B2B on tap: The eatery – and brewery – has been making a number of seasonal ales and more

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Coming off its one-year anniversary, the brewery at B2B Bistronomy keeps churning out tasty seasonals and nine flagship beers that keep customers coming back again and again.

The brewery just turned a year old on Feb. 1, and has more than 30 taps running at a time. In addition to its in-house brews, beer offerings include revered New Mexico selections from La Cumbre Brewing Company, Marble Brewery, Santa Fe Brewing Co., Abbey Brewing Co., Turtle Mountain Brewing Co. and Chama River Brewing Co., as well as from Rio Grande and Sierra Blanca Brewing Co.

B2B head brewer Kyle Baxter and guest brewers, most of whom got their start in home brewing, come in a few times a week to brew the venue’s seasonals and flagship beers and ciders, which are: Cherry Stout, Raspberry Wheat, Peach Hard Cider, Apple Hard Cider, Berry Cider, Coconut Porter, Ol’ Yelper Red, Belgian Pale Ale and Black IPA.

“They all work together and come up with some crazy seasonals,” B2B marketing director Ruby Santos said. “In the summer, they came up with a Cucumber Cream Ale and a PB&J Ale.”

Chai Milk Stout and a Saison brewed with peppercorn and Sorachi hops are the current seasonals being offered at this “Nano Brewery with Mega Flavors.”

“The Chai Milk Stout is a sweeter stout that uses Chai spices and lactose,” Santos said. “People are really digging that Chai Milk Stout.”

According to Santos, there are three staples that patrons return for time and time again.

“The Cherry Stout, the Coconut Porter and the Black IPA. We have people drinking them year-round,” she said. “People can’t get enough of them.”

The Cherry Stout is a sweet stout with tart cherries. The Coconut Porter is a robust porter with toasted, organic coconut flakes. The Black IPA is made with Munich light malt and crystal malt, according to the B2B website.

Save some change during B2B’s happy hour from 4-6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Beers are $2 each the first hour and $3 each after that.
