ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Wesley Snipes is in the Land of Enchantment.
The actor is in New Mexico filming his latest project, “Endgame.” It is being produced by NBC and Sony Pictures Television.
“Endgame” is the story of ex-FBI agent Alex King, played by Philip Winchester, who joins a century-old secret investigative organization tasked with protecting innocent people from dangers which regular law enforcement can’t predict.
In his first case, teamed with a brilliant data analyst and a mysterious benefactor. played by Snipes, he rescues the kidnapped daughter of a visiting dignitary in order to ensure a negotiation vital to American security.
According to the New Mexico Film Office, principal photography began this week and will run through the end of March.
The production will employ at least 100 New Mexico crew members, 150 New Mexico actors and local background talent, according to the film office.
The show also stars Damon Gupton and Charity Wakefield.
Snipes is known for the “Blade” trilogy among many other films. Winchester was in “Flyboys” and “Strike Back” Gupton was in “Whiplash” and “The Last Airbender. Wakefield was in “The Raven” and the TV show “Mockingbird Lane.”
The show is directed by Bharat Nalluri and produced by Danielle Weinstock.
