ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police have made an arrest in connection with the January killing of 21-year-old Angelo Martinez in the parking lot of a Walmart near Coors and Interstate 40.
Homicide detectives, assisted by the gang unit, identified Alejandro Hernandez, 18, as a suspect, said Albuquerque Police Department officer Tanner Tixier, a spokesman. Hernandez was arrested Tuesday and charged with conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with evidence, Tixier said.
Martinez was shot Jan. 18 around 9 p.m. after police received calls about a fight breaking out at the store. He died at the hospital.
