Get armed for tax season with extra cash during ‘Uncle Sam’s Payback’ promotion at Isleta Casino

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Tax time is here again and is probably as pleasant as hearing nails on a chalkboard. But Isleta Resort & Casino is attempting to buffer the unpleasant looming deadline with a pleasing promotion this month.

Filing procrastinators and those who have signed, sealed and delivered their tax documents weeks ago can get through tax season together possibly with some extra cash in hand during “Uncle Sam’s Payback” promotion at Isleta.

Play your favorite slot machine, table games, bingo or poker and earn entries daily. Each hour from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day through April 30 there will be five winners selected to receive $100. Winners will have 24 hours to claim their prizes.

On Tuesdays, winners who claim their prizes within seven minutes or less will get to choose a prize from Uncle Sam’s hat. Prizes will range from $150 to $1,040.

Isleta’s sister nonsmoking casino Palace West is celebrating its first anniversary with the “777 Anniversary Progressives” promotion through April 30. Cash drawings will be held each hour between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day. One winner will be selected every hour during that time frame, but if he or she is not present, the money will rollover to the next drawing. Every Thursday through Sunday at 10 p.m. the prize must go.

Also celebrate on April 12 with some anniversary cake from 1 to 2 p.m. at Palace West.

Bingo players rejoice. April is your month. Be part of Easter Bingo from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, April 5. The buy-in is $5 or $10 for all-you-can-play, which is up to five paper packs, with all games paying $500 or $1,000. The $2 Easter Game pays $500 plus four drawings to select an egg to determine your prize for a total of $1,000.

Bingo Customer Appreciation day will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. April 11. Buy-in is $19 all-you-can-play, which is up to five paper packs, with all regular games paying $1,199. As a special appreciation there will be 100 drawings for a total of $10,000.

On April 18, from 6 to 10 p.m. play “Tax Relief” bingo. Buy-in is $5 or $10 all-you-can-play, which is up to five paper packs, with all regular games paying $500 or $1,000. The $2 Tax Relief Game pays $500 plus five drawings for $200.

This month its “Super Senior Wednesdays” for young-at-heart bingo players. Matinee sessions begin at noon with a $3 all-you-can play, which pays $300 or $500. Seniors age 50 and older get a free game, which pays $250, with paid admission. As a reminder the Bingo Hall will be closed April 10 and 17.

Seniors also get some extra love on the Isleta and Palace West gaming floors on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Seniors who are age 50 and older will receive at least $5 in free slot play and will be eligible for hot seat drawings. One winner will be selected every hour from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for $50 in cash.

SANDIA RESORT & CASINO: What’s in your garage? Sandia wants to know or at least help add a new car, truck or boat to your garage or maybe add some big cash to your wallet.

This month Sandia’s “$1,000,000 What’s in the Garage?” will have 3,400 winners walking away with a new mode of transportation, cash or free play. All drawings are hot seat drawings.

Free slot play drawings will be held every half hour from noon to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Cash drawings will be held each half hour from noon to 9 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. It gets better on Fridays and Saturdays during the “Garage Giveaway” held between 7 and 9 p.m. Selected winners will get to choose a key to open a garage door to find out what their prize is.

Stretch and strengthen your fingers, slot players, because Sandia is holding “On Demand, True Time Daily Slot Tournaments.” Players will earn a tournament entry for every 300-base slot points they earn with a maximum of five entries per day. Entries can be earned beginning at 12 a.m. Mondays and ending at 10 p.m. Sundays.

Players then go to machines located in Premiere Pennies or the new Roadrunner Casino to play their tournament. Tournaments must be played by 11 p.m. Saturdays.
