But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Marble’s list of accolades keeps getting longer year after year. Today, it’s celebrating those accomplishments with the community during its “7 Year Anniversary Extravaganza” at El Rey Theater.
“Seven years already?” Ted Rice, Marble’s president, co-owner and brewmaster said in response to celebrating seven successful years. “Time does fly by when you are having fun, and I feel like the fun factor is higher than ever. We are having a blast designing new beers and continually pushing ourselves. None of it would be possible without the amazing community that surrounds us.”
Marble was named Small Brewery and Brewmaster of the Year at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival held in October in Denver. The competition awarded 268 medals to many of the best breweries in the United States. Marble won gold for its Double White in the Other Strong Beer category and gold for its Imperial Red in the Imperial Red Ale category.
Event-goers get to try both gold medal winners at today’s celebration. And, there will be plenty more Marble beers on tap for this celebration. They are: Brett Stout, Quad, Brett IPA, White Out, Rauchbier, Jarrylo IPA, Weizenbock, Choice Blanc, DIPA, Imperial Red, Double White, Red Ale, IPA, Pilsner, Oatmeal Stout, Amber and Wildflower Wheat, according to Marble marketing director Amberley Rice.
In addition to the treats on tap, enjoy some ear candy with music by The Porter Draw, Dead Winter Carpenters, Mondo Vibrations and Red Light Cameras. The event is in partnership with Jams of Enchantment, a network of fans and performers within the community.
All it takes to be part of the festivities is $15. The general admission fee gets you through the door and includes a commemorative glass, as well as three 4-ounce tastings of the impressive selection of Marble brews. VIP ticket holders also get the general admission perks as well as exclusive access to Marble’s Imperial Stout and Reserve Ale, according to Amberley Rice. VIP ticketholders also get to try some limited barrel-aged Marble brews, as well as some food to nibble on in the VIP area.
“We figured we’d throw a big party and invite everyone to come join us,” she said.
