Keeping the lights on: Inn of the Mountain Gods is open 24/7

Rushing to pack and making sure you leave on time to make your destination can be stressful even if it is just for a day trip.

But, the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino is keeping the lights on and its doors open so you can arrive at your leisure and find most everything you would find at 4 p.m. also open at 4 a.m. The Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino now has its 38,000-square-foot gaming floor open 24 hours a day, every day. Enjoy penny slots to complete table games including blackjack, craps, poker and roulette.

Sometimes all of that gaming excitement can stir up an appetite. The Inn of the Mountain Gods has you covered. Head over to the Big Game Sports Bar for its Native American Burger and a side of fries or maybe some country biscuits or an all-American breakfast.

These treats and more are part of the sports bar’s new late-night menu. The sports bar is now also open 24 hours a day, every day. In addition to some good grub, the sports bar offers a wide selection of draft beers on tap.

Extended hours are not the only thing that the Inn of the Mountain Gods has introduced this month. It welcomed its Casino Lounge and Shot Bar. The lounge is located next to the poker room in the main casino. It offers a wide variety of single malt scotches, rare cognacs, craft beers and more. The new lounge also features a humidor, which houses the casino’s best selection of premium cigars.

Take in a breathtaking view of Lake Mescalero from the comfort of your dining table at Wendell’s Steak and Seafood. The refined spot offers breakfast, lunch and dinner selections including its new offering – 28-day aged premium USDA prime selection of beef. Other savory offerings include crab-stuffed shrimp, bourbon tenderloin tips, bacon macaroni and cheese and other choices. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Adjacent to Wendell’s Steak and Seafood is Wendell’s Lounge. It’s a cozy place to end the night or fuel your day with a nice lunch. The lounge offers soups and salads as well as signature sandwiches such as “The Prime” and buffalo chicken. To help wash it down, sip a martini, suck down a margarita or savor a signature cocktail.

Take a walk outside and breathe in some crisp mountain air on your way to Apache Tee restaurant. The venue is located a hop, skip and a jump from the resort off the golfing greens and is open until 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and until 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Apache Tee hosts its Wine Down Wednesdays event during the week so you can enjoy some fine wine with an amazing view of Lake Mescalero, the Championship Golf Course and the Sacramento Mountains. Enjoy the same aesthetic delights on Friday and Saturday evenings with the sounds of live entertainment.

SAN FELIPE CASINO: This month patrons will get their chance to select an ice chest full of cool cash and sizzling summer prizes every Sunday during the “Summer Time Sunday Spectacular.” Coming up this Sunday is “Summer Bonus Day” when players have a chance at an outdoor living package at San Felipe Casino.

Grab a fistful of cash on Monday and Tuesday as part of the “Summer Rocks the Cash Box” table games promotion. Guests can win up to $1,000 in cash between 2 and 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Everyone selected is guaranteed to win a minimum of $25 in San Felipe loyalty play, according to a San Felipe news release.

Patrons are encouraged to play craps and blackjack every Monday through Thursday through Sept. 30. Guests can play craps and six-deck blackjack for $1.

Earn three times the points every Thursday this month as part of the “3X Points Thursdays” promotion. Participants can triple their points on every slot and table game on Thursdays. Players Club members also are eligible for $10 in free slot play with every $35 or more gasoline purchase at the San Felipe Travel Center.

Members just need to present their Players Club card and receipt within seven days of purchase. The offer is limited to one person per week for free slot play.
