BREAKING: Eastbound Paseo Backed Up at 2nd

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — 8:57am UPDATE: All lanes are now open on eastbound Paseo del Norte following crash cleanup at 2nd Street, but southbound Interstate 25 has become a parking lot with traffic at a standstill between Comanche and Alameda following a pair of crashes at Comanche and at San Antonio, 770 KKOB Radio’s Gemma Knight is reporting.

8:40am UPDATE: The left lane on Paseo del Norte at 2nd Street remains closed, but cleanup at the scene of this morning’s motorcycle accident has allowed traffic to get moving again, and the backup now extends to Coors Boulevard, according to KKOB Radio.

Meanwhile, a pair of accidents on southbound Interstate 25 at Comanche and at San Antonio has traffic backed up to Alameda, KKOB is reporting.

A motorcycle accident on eastbound Paseo del Norte has blocked the 2nd Street off-ramp and has traffic backed up all the way past Eagle Ranch Road to Golf Course, and 770 KKOB Radio traffic reporter Gemma Knight is calling Paseo a “parking lot.”

Westbound traffic on Paseo also has slowed down thanks to rubberneckers, KKOB is reporting.

Eastbound drivers are urged to find an alternate route, such as Alameda or Montano.
