Good evening from University Stadium, where in a bit less than half an hour the New Mexico Lobos (1-0) and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (1-0) will tee it up in a college football game.
It’s a very warm late summer evening, and that’s something Lobos coach Davie was concerned about earlier this week when discussing how his defense would fare against Tulsa’s up-tempo, no-huddle offense.
A crowd of some 23, 24,000 is expected.
I’ll be blogging here with score changes and updates at the quarter and the halftime breaks. I’ll also be tweeting @burquerick with impressions, random thoughts, recipes, etc.
There’s no TV, but the game is on radio at 770 AM and online at espn3.com.
