The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum showcases a vast collection of balloons, art work, and aerial artifacts.

Our exhibits show the history of ballooning and highlights the science that has thrilled human imagination for more than a century. Take a trip and discover Albuquerque’s renowned air and space museum today!

Balloon Museum Hours & Admission

Note: The Balloon Museum will be open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, during the 2015 Balloon Fiesta, October 3 through October 14, 2015.


Regular Hours

Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Museum is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and City holidays that fall on Mondays.

Hours of operation and admission prices are subject to change without notice.

Museum Mission: To be the leading educational institution of engaging exhibitions and informative programs on the history, art, culture, science and sport of ballooning and lighter-than-air craft.


  • Adults: $4 (with $1 discount for New Mexico residents with a valid ID)
  • Senior: $2 (65+)
  • Children (ages 4-12): $1
  • Children (3 and under): FREE
  • Museum Foundation Members; ICOM, AAM & NMAM members: FREE
  • Free admission: the first Friday of every month and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Except the first Friday of October, Sundays during Balloon Fiesta and on days where there are special events such as Holidays Take Flight.)
