The Inn of the Mountain Gods wants you to hit the mountains, take in some top entertainment and win big on the gaming floor this October.
Kick off the party this fall with Grammy Award-winning rockers Halestorm at 8 tonight. The band returns to the Inn of the Mountain Gods to promote its latest album, “Into the Wild Life.”
Having seen this band live at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in late August 2014, I can say it was quite an experience. Halestorm always puts on a high-energy show, which is a must-see. Tickets start at $35.
If you can’t make it to the Halestorm show, there is another chance for you to party it up on the mountain. Ski Apache is hosting its “Party on the Mountain” from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Get ready for the upcoming winter season on Saturday with your last chance to purchase discount ski passes as well as enjoy outdoor bike trails until the ski and snowboard season starts. You must be present to purchase the discounted season ski passes available for $334.99.
The new event this year is the Sierra Blanca Mountain Man Challenge. Competitors will face mountain challenges like an obstacle-laden forest and a scavenger-hunt hike. Other activities include live music, face painting, wall climbing, bounce houses, raffles and more. Admission into the party is free.
Following the party, make your way down to the Inn of the Mountain Gods’ gaming floor. You can help those in need and earn five times the points on your Apache Spirit Club card as part of the “Coins for Cans” promotion that runs from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday through Nov. 21 at the Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache Travel Center.
Players who donate nonperishable food items will receive five times the points on their Apache Spirit Club cards, according to an Inn of the Mountain Gods news release. Players also can earn up to seven times the points if two of the five donated items are peanut butter. Points must be used on the promotional day and players are limited to participate once per promotional day.
Slot enthusiasts can be part of the “Play For An Encore” slot tournament on Monday, Thursday and Fridays through Oct. 30. Apache Spirit Club players can earn virtual tickets to be entered into the virtual drawing to participate in the slot tournament held at 7 p.m. every Friday this month.
To qualify for the virtual drawing, players must earn 20 slot points between 10 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. on promotion days. Patrons have a chance to earn 10 free entries on Thursdays by swiping their Apache Spirit Club cards at any kiosk.
Twelve players will randomly be selected from the virtual drum at 7 p.m. every Friday to participate in that evening’s “Play for An Encore” slot tournament. The top two winners of each tournament will then play in the final tournament on Oct. 30 where one lucky winner will drive away in a 2015 Buick Encore.
Every Tuesday this month from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Apache Spirit Club members can swipe their cards and win after earning 20 slot points. Every swipe is a guaranteed win and guests have a chance to win up to $1,000 in Spirit Play, dining credit up to $100, up to 15,000 bonus points or up to 10 times point multipliers to be used on the same Tuesday. Patrons are limited to one swipe per person during promotional hours, according to the news release.
Later in the week is “Treasure Hunt Thursdays” at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. Apache Spirit Club members are eligible for weekly drawings and a chance to win cash prizes up to $3,000 and up to $250 in Free Spirit Play. Players who earn 30 points on their favorite games can swipe their Apache Spirit Club cards at any kiosk to enter their virtual ticket before 6:45 p.m. Thursdays.
Five winners will be picked during each drawing and have two minutes to claim their ships. When all five ships have been claimed, the winners will choose a treasure chest numbered one to 12 to find out which island to place their ship at and see what prize they have won.
