7:30 p.m.
The glow has finished and officials are preparing for the fireworks show.

7:04 p.m.
Balloons are inflated and Saturday’s glow has started on the field.

6:45 p.m.
Hundreds of balloons have inflated on the field and are waiting for darkness and this evening’s glow.

6:01 p.m.
Balloon Fiesta officials are flying the green flag signaling tonight’s glow is on.

5:57 p.m.
Three balloons are cold inflating on the field in preparation for tonight’s glow.

5:54 p.m.
The wind is about 5 mph and the temperature is 75 degrees at Balloon Fiesta Park, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

5:15 p.m.
The wind is less than 5 mph at Balloon Fiesta Park in advance of tonight’s glow.

11:35 a.m.

10:53 a.m.
All balloons that launched during Saturday morning’s mass ascension have landed.

8:75 a.m.
A ballon that took off during Saturday’s mass ascension struck power lines near Edith and El Pueblo.

8:40 a.m.
Balloons are starting to land just south of Alameda near Balloon Fiesta Park.

7:58 a.m.
Most balloons lifting off the field during Saturday’s mass ascension are staying above the park.

6:45 a.m.
The green flag has been raised and pilots have just left the briefing and are going to inflate their balloons.

6:28 a.m.
Balloons taking part in Saturday’s Dawn Patrol have lifted off the field.

6:05 a.m.
The laser light show is taking place on the field at Balloon Fiesta Park.

5:55 a.m.
The “When Pigs Fly” balloon is inflating on the field in advance of Saturday’s Dawn Patrol.

5:10 a.m.
The wind is calm and the temperature is 50 degrees at Balloon Fiesta Park, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Getting there

Traffic is expected to be heavy on I-25 northbound and southbound, and on Tramway and Alameda approaching Balloon Fiesta Park. Check our Balloon Fiesta traffic map for current traffic speeds.

Park & Ride is always running. Here are the locations:

East Side

– Hoffmantown Church – 8888 Harper Road NE, Park in the northeast lot only.
– Cliff’s Amusement Park – 4800 Osuna Road NE near San Mateo and I-25.
– Coronado Mall – 6600 Menaul Boulevard NE, park in the southwest corner near San Pedro.

West Side

– Intel (southern parking lot) – Highway 528/Rio Rancho Blvd. Enter the Park & Ride lot at either Westside Blvd. or 21st street and follow the signs.
– Cottonwood Mall (northeast parking lot) – located at 10000 Coors Bypass near Seven Bar Loop.

Same-day purchase at Park & Ride locations. Balloon Park admission and service charge is included.
– Adults & Seniors (13 and up) – $20
– Children (6-12) – $10
– Children (5 and under) – Free

*Note: There will be no Park & Ride service on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
