ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — “Officer Webster was the very best example of a life committed to public service, through his service to our country and to our community. He leaves a legacy of excellence and commitment, and we honor his life through our ongoing service to our community.”

Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden

“We are going to stand tall, and we are going to stand together as a community as we grieve the loss of officer Daniel Webster, and we will never forget the sacrifice he and his family made to keep us safe.”

Mayor Richard Berry

“We offer our deepest condolences to Michelle (Carlino-)Webster, the widow of this fallen hero, and the rest of his family and loved ones, and condemn the despicable act that took officer Webster from us in the strongest possible terms.”

U.S. Attorney Damon Martinez

“It’s a tremendous loss for Michelle (Carlino-Webster) but we also recognize it’s been a tremendous loss for the Albuquerque Police Department. We recognize he was a highly esteemed officer and that loss will be remembered for a long time.”

Bernalillo County Sheriff Manuel Gonzales III

“We must all remember that officer Webster lost his life working to keep us safe from harm. Because of a senseless act of violence, his wife and children are left without a husband and a father.”

Gov. Susana Martinez

“To call Daniel Webster an exceptional officer would be an understatement. He represented the very best of our profession.”
