November perks: Look for ‘Mega-Moola’ at Santa Ana; and San Felipe celebrates 20 years

Shake off the chill of a crisp fall day at area casinos and possibly end up taking home some hot cash and prizes.

Santa Ana Star Casino is giving patrons the chance at some big winnings this month during its “$250,000 Mega-Moola Giveaway.” The casino is encouraging players to “milk them” for all they’ve got this month, according to a Santa Ana Star Casino news release.

Five lucky patrons will be chosen for their opportunity at $250,000 of “Mega-Moola.” Star Rewards Club members receive one entry for every 500 points they earn now through Nov. 28. Drawings will be held at 8 p.m. Saturdays and five weekly winners will play for a chance at $250,000 each week.

Celebrate Veterans’ Day with special five-star perks in honor of military men and women. Military members will receive a free brunch buffet from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 11, at The Feast Buffet with a valid military ID.

Military who also are Star Rewards Club members will receive three to five times the points and “Mega-Moola Giveaway” entries. Hot-seat drawings will take place between noon and 8 p.m. for more incentives to play on Veterans’ Day. There will be three winners per hour and hot-seat prizes double with your military ID.

For those looking to laugh off the work week, head to The Stage on Thursday, Nov. 12. Last season’s “Last Comic Standing” runner-up Lachlan Patterson will make your ribs hurt during two shows at 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. Tickets range from $15-$25, plus fees at holdmyticket.com.

SAN FELIPE CASINO: This month, San Felipe Casino is celebrating its 20th anniversary with $20 shows, 20 times the points and 20th anniversary logo gear.

Make plans for Nov. 20, when guests throughout the day will randomly earn 20 times the points for 20 minutes.

Head to San Felipe for Veterans’ Day for a chance to win $2,000 during hourly drawings being held from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Now through Dec. 20, participate in the “Seasons of Giving, Pay it Forward” promotion for a chance to win up to $5,000 and donate money to New Mexico charities. Drawings will take place every Sunday at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Craps players will get their chance to win $100 in gaming cheques during the “High Roller Loyalty Bonus Giveaways” that runs now through December. Patrons who have the daily highest consecutive roll will automatically be a winner. San Felipe also will be giving away a bonus prize of $1,000 cheques. Cheques is another term for gaming chips used playing craps.

Slot tournaments continue to heat up at San Felipe Casino. This month, guests can receive an entry into the weekly slot tournaments by earning 20 points while playing their favorite slot machines. Registration is at noon and the tournaments kick off at 1 p.m. every Thursday.

Players Club members can save some money if they’re hungry. Use your Players Club card to get daily brunch for $6.95 or a dinner buffet for $9.95. The buffet is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

For a quick, but tasty bite head over to the Pueblo Grill for great menu items at a low price. The menu contains items that range from $1.99 to $5.99 for guests on the go.

And don’t forget every Saturday is “Government Employee Day” at San Felipe Casino. The promotion is open to active and retired military personnel and other government employees who will receive a two-for-one buffet every Saturday.
