Tumbleweed snowman goes up, holiday season can begin

The AMAFCA tumbleweed snowman is now up and standing near Interstate 40 and University Boulevard.

For many Albuquerque citizens, the tumbleweed snowman signals the official start of the holiday season.

“It’s the official start of the Christmas season,” said Julie Chavez, who watched the the tumbleweed snowman go up with her family.
