Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 4800 Indian School NE. Advent 2015 – 11:00 a.m. The church year season of Advent is a time of waiting that recalls the first coming of Jesus at Christmas and anticipates the return of Jesus at the end of history. Our series of services this year focuses on Isaiah 40.

Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE. Regular Worship Service with Holy Communion – 8:15 a.m. Pastor Walquist’s message is “Bethlehem: An Object Lesson,” based on Micah 5:2-5a. Las Posadas Sunday School Service at 9:45 a.m. beginning in the courtyard and the procession will conclude inside the church with participation in the regular 10:45 a.m. Worship Service.

Sombra Del Monte Christian Church, 2525 Vermont St. NE. Children’s Christmas Program – 10:30 a.m. Join us for a special telling of Jesus’ birth during our Sunday worship service. After worship, enjoy lunch/fellowship and get your picture taken with Santa.

St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Blvd. NE. Worship service – Whom are we called to love? – 9:30 a.m. The service will include the “Festival of Carols” cantata by the choir and instrumentalists. Come as you are – you will be loved.

St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE. Gloria! Joyous Sounds of the Season – 3 p.m. Join the Albuquerque Civic Chorus as we present Gloria! Joyous Sounds of the Season, an eclectic selection of holiday music, from solemn to silly. Tickets are $10 for adults, children under 5 are free. For additional information, visit abqchorus.org.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE. St. Mark’s Christmas Pageant – 5 p.m. All are welcomes to join our annual fun and entertaining Christmas Pageant!

St. Michael’s Church, 601 Montano NW. Las Posadas – 5 p.m. We will gather in the Parish Hall to re-enact the story of Joseph and Mary in Bethlehem; share Holy Communion; then return to the Parish Hall for a potluck supper and piñata.

MONDAY

Mesa View United Methodist Church, 4701 Montano NW. Blue Christmas Worship Service – 7 p.m. A service that recognizes sometimes there is pain at Christmas; a time to share and hear prayers, Scripture and music that acknowledges that God is present for those who mourn, for those who struggle, for those who feel loss or lost – and that God’s Word comes to shine a light into our darkness.

TUESDAY

Mesa View United Methodist Church, 4701 Montano NW. Early Christmas Eve Worship Service – 7 p.m. Traditional Christmas Eve service for those working or out of town on Christmas Eve. Every Christmas Eve service ends with the traditional lighting of candles and singing of Silent Night.

St. Michael’s Church, 601 Montano NW. Light Into Darkness Service – 7 p.m. For some, the holidays are a time of grief and loneliness, or longing for quiet and peace. In this contemplative service we recognize the quiet miracle of the light that shines in our darkness, and share healing prayer and Holy Communion.

THURSDAY, CHRISTMAS EVE

All Saints Lutheran Church, 4800 All Saints NW. Candlelight Worship with Holy Communion and Hallelujah Ringers – 3 p.m.; Candlelight Worship with Holy Communion and Youth Choir – A Service of Lessons and Carols – 5 p.m.; All Saints Choir Presentation – O Come, Emmanuel – 8:30 p.m.; and Candlelight Worship with Holy Communion and All Saints Choir – 9 p.m.

Christmas and Caring Service in the Chapel for those who have suffered a loss – 10 a.m. (A reception will be held in the gathering area following the 10 a.m. service); A Family Christmas Traditional Service in the Sanctuary with Holy Communion – 1 p.m.; New Day Contemporary Service in the Life Center featuring contemporary music led by the No Boundaries Praise Band – 6 p.m.; Lessons And Carols Worship Service in the Sanctuary featuring the Chancel Choir, Sinfonia and candlelight – 8 p.m. Candlelight and Communion Worship in the Sanctuary to welcome Christmas Day – 11 p.m.
