City Enlists Officials With 4-Wheel Drive To Deliver Meals

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Storm made it difficult to get meals to some homebound senior citizens in Albuquerque

A winter storm that hit New Mexico on Tuesday made it difficult for the city of Albuquerque to get meals to homebound senior citizens.

Some of those who deliver meals were finding it difficult to get through neighborhoods on the bad roads, so Albuquerque’s department of senior affairs enlisted the help of city officials with 4-wheel-drive vehicles.

City spokesman Chris Ramirez says officials who were delivering meals included Mayor Richard Berry and his wife Maria, Chief Administrative Officer David Campbell and city Department of Public Safety head Darren White.
