ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The championship game will feature the top teams from the Pacific Coast and International leagues
The 2011 Triple-A Baseball National Championship Game will be played at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque in September.
That’s the word this afternoon from the Isotopes.
The club said in a news release the one-game championship showdown between the winner of the Pacific Coast League playoffs and the winner of the International League’s Governors’ Cup will be played on Sept. 20, with the first pitch slated for 6:05 p.m.
The game will be televised live nationally on Versus and is expected to be re-aired the following day on the Major League Baseball network, according to the news release.
The news release said tickets for the game will go on sale simultaneously with Isotopes regular season tickets on March 12 at 10 a.m. at the Isotopes Park box office, online at www.albuquerquebaseball.com and by phone by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000.
