Museum: dog statue stolen from grounds

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History is looking for a lost dog that they know didn’t run away.

The missing dog is a statue that accompanies another of an old man sitting on a bench on the museum’s grounds on Mountain and 19th NW, according to a post on the museum’s Facebook page Thursday evening.

“Have you seen our dog?” the post reads. “No, seriously. It was stolen, and we want it back.”

No one from the museum was immediately available to respond to questions. A police spokesman didn’t have any information on the stolen statue Thursday night.

The post asks anyone with information to please call 242-COPS.
