ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A restaurant research firm has ranked Dion’s as one of the country’s best quick-service chains, putting it in the company of several bigger brands.
The Albuquerque-based pizzeria landed at No. 4 on Sandelman & Associates’ 2015 Quick-Track Awards of Excellence. It finished behind only Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out Burger and Illinois-based Portillo’s.
Dion’s earned the distinction based on customer ratings, according to a Sandelman news release. Fifty-nine percent rated their overall Dion’s experience “excellent.”
“Our vision is to become the most admired regional restaurant brand in the country, so I’m thrilled to see our customers recognize the dedication and hard work of our employees and it looks like people are starting to notice,” Dion’s CEO Mark Herman said in a news release.
Sandelman’s Quick-Track, a syndicated usage and perception study tracked overall satisfaction at 127 chains in 100 markets around the country last year.
Dion’s operates 21 restaurants. The bulk are in the company’s Albuquerque home base, but the company has also expanded throughout the state and into Texas and Colorado.
