NM players will get NFL shot

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Several New Mexico college football players will get a chance to prove they belong in the National Football League.
No in-state player was selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, which concluded Saturday. But New Mexico running back Jhurell Pressley and New Mexico State cornerback Winston Rose quickly came to terms as free agents — Pressley with the Minnesota Vikings, Rose with the Los Angeles Rams.
Meanwhile, Lobos teammates Carlos Wiggins, Ryan Langford and Marquis Bundy and New Mexico Highlands cornerback Ken Spigner have been invited to participate in NFL rookie mini-camps this week.
Wiggins, a wide receiver/kick returner, and Langford, a linebacker, will be in camp with the Houston Texans. Bundy, a wide receiver, got an invitation from the Arizona Cardinals. Spigner will try out with the Washington Redskins.
