About 35 years ago, Burrows was in the Air Force and his wife encouraged him to do his impressions for the contest.

“I got up on stage then and I’ve never left it,” he laughs. “It was the beginning of everything for me.”

Burrows says his comedy material comes from everyday experiences.

“There’s so much material to talk about,” he explains. “From marriage to having children, the material is endless. Plus, there are things that happen to friends that always make for fun things to talk about.”

Over the course of his 30-year career, Burrows has shared the stage with Rosie O’Donnell and Bob Hope. He also has opened for musicians such as the Temptations, Patti Labelle, the Pointer Sisters, Brian McKnight and Dave Koz.

“I’ve been blessed with a career where I can entertain people,” he says. “I’ve been able to see the world and do what I love.”
