UNM Medical Group names interim CEO

UNM Medical Group Chief Operations Officer Jill Klar has been appointed interim chief executive officer to replace departing CEO Anthony Masciotra, according to a news release issued this morning.

Masciotra is leaving to become CEO Oregon Health & Sciences University’s Faculty Practice Plan and senior associate dean for clinical practice in the OHSU School of Medicine.

Masciotra has served as UNM Medical Group CEO since 2011. Klar’s appointment is effective June 23.

Before joining the Medical Group in January 2016 as chief operating officer, Klar was COO for ABQ Health Partners. She has also held leadership positions with Lovelace Health System, Molina Healthcare of New Mexico and Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque.

The UNM Medical Group, a not-for-profit corporation organized in 2007, is comprised of more than 1,100 clinical practitioners representing more than 150 specialties.
