Bob Odenkirk, star of the “Breaking Bad” spinoff “Better Call Saul,” is scheduled to be in attendance at Isotopes Park on Saturday, Aug. 6 when the Albuquerque Isotopes celebrate “Better Call Saul” Night, the club announced. The actor will participate in a number of activities around the ballpark, having a chance to interact with fans and take in the Isotopes Park experience.
The Isotopes will don special “Better Call Saul”-themed jerseys, prominently featuring Odenkirk in his titular role as the smooth-talking Albuquerque attorney, Jimmy McGill (aka, ultimately, Saul Goodman).
Fans will have a chance to bid on the game-worn jerseys via a silent auction with winners having the opportunity to have their jerseys autographed by Odenkirk. For Isotopes fans across the country, a select number of jerseys will be available through an online auction. Proceeds from the auctions will benefit the New Mexico Autism Society.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. Odenkirk will be available on the concourse for an autograph session before moving to the field to deliver the contest’s ceremonial first pitch. During the seventh-inning stretch, he will then serenade the Isotopes Park crowd with his rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
